The Wheelers
The Wheelers are fictional character from L. Frank Baum's Oz series. They make their first appearance in Ozma of Oz (1907).
They are grumpy humanoid creatures with wheels instead of hands and feet. From a distance they can be mistaken for people roller skating. When Dorothy and Billina enter their rocky domain in the Land of Ev, they threaten her for having stolen from the Dinner-Pail Tree. Though they pretend to be fierce, in reality they are harmless and use threats and warnings in an attempt to keep others from learning their secret and attacking. When confronted they are quickly driven off by Tiktok who then sudues the leader.
